

Start With A Shape, And Go From There
More Christmas stuff. I thought we were done, but my client found this different kind of package, called a "car cup" and wanted to see what kind of ideas we could develop based on its cute and portable shape. To make the most of the cup's shape, I brainstormed on all Christmas-y things that were round and came up with these three: a snow globe, Rudolf's nose and a snowman. A Very Eastery Christmas
One of the funny things about my job is my clients pitch Christmas ideas in March. Orders for holidays are sewn up before summer. Thank God I live in Vermont, where the snow falls through Spring and people keep their holiday lights up until the sun starts shining. See how we West coast transplants have to fool ourselves to get through winter? These are design ideas for candy packages. The actual package will be a printed zipper pouch with the candy showing through a "cutout"
