Start With A Shape, And Go From There
More Christmas stuff. I thought we were done, but my client found this different kind of package, called a "car cup" and wanted to see what kind of ideas we could develop based on its cute and portable shape. To make the most of the cup's shape, I brainstormed on all Christmas-y things that were round and came up with these three: a snow globe, Rudolf's nose and a snowman. This project reminded me that when I'm stuck, sometimes it helps to limit my brainstorming down to the most basic starting point. By constraining myself to a circle a flood of ideas came pushing through and three cohesive, yet very different ideas came out.
